2020 Programs

 

January 8 - Molly Todd discussed turning childrens original art work into a quilt legacy.  She showed examples of the art work and the quitls.

January 12 - Stephanie Raker on the Creative Process

March 11 - Comfort Quilt speakers from Inter-Faith Hospitality Network, Abuse and Rape Crisis Shelter of Warren County and The Child Advocacy Center.  We look forward to hearing how these organizations benefit from the Comfort Quilts that our members sew and donate to their organizations.

May 13 – TBD

June 10 – Cassandra Beaver lecture and trunk show on the Not So Dramatic Life.  Inspiration abounds as this journey through quilts combines Modern, Traditional and Art aesthetics.  Hear the stories behind the creation of many award-winning quilts and leave inspired to try something new!

July 8 – Potluck – Christmas in July.

August 12 – Becky Preiss Odom, PH.D. lectures on quilts from a historical perspective from statehood to the Great Depression.

September 9 – Penny Harem Creative Grids lecture and class.  The class will be held September 10.  This is an  opportunity to bust your stash!

October 14 – The Harriet Wilson Comfort Quilt Challenge reveal! 

November 11 – Deb Strain lecture on fabric design. Deb is a Moda fabric designer having worked for them since 1996 and completed more than 100 collections.  She will be sharing her story and a trunk show and will have fabrics and patters for sale. 

 

December 8 – Pot Luck – Christmas gift exchange
