Comfort Quilt Requirements and Tips

Requested from our 3 Organizations:

  • NO Holiday fabric (Easter,Halloween,Christmas)

Minimum Sizes

  • Child – 40 x 60
  • Teen / Adult – 55 x 65
  • Baby quilts are also accepted 
  • Larger sizes also accepted

Be mindful of smells

  • Pets
  • Smoking
  • Scented laundry soap
  • Fabric softners – Unstoppables scent beads
  • Scented fabric sheets

Comfort Quilt Finishing Tips

  • Square up your Quilt before attaching binding
  • Double check your tension when stitching the quilt top, batting, backing together
  • Watch for bunching/puckering on the front and back of the quilt
  • Securely attach your binding – machine or hand sewn,
  • if you chose to hand sew please, double the thread and knot often as you sew
  • Make sure all raw edges have been stitched inside the binding
  • Attach a label to the back

  • Check both side of quilt for threads and pins
